Yes, there is hope in hell!
The Ebola epidemic in West Africa is tragic and devastating, and unprecedented in scope in the disease’s history—it is also to a large degree containable, and in that way preventable. How? By stopping the disease spreading from one person to another, one family to a community, one country to another country—a goal that is absolutely achievable, and still the best weapon we have in halting this horrific virus in its tracks.
The best weapons we have (right now) in giving Ebola victims a chance of surviving are medical professionals on the ground, and clinics to support and quarantine patients who are sick. And that takes money.
Médecins Sans Frontières—its doctors, nurses, organizers—has been on the ground taking a lead in managing this current Ebola crisis, which is fast becoming a worldwide public health crisis. And they’re asking for your help, now. MSF is a global leader in humanitarian in-country medical care—an organization that has long set the bar for standards of competency, excellence and integrity.
